Our Company
Trading Room is a privately owned Filipino company that works with creative people, scientists and designers to help community workers develop innovative products.
The company’s product portfolio includes: seaweed, agricultural products, corporate, home and fashion items.
Our Story
Trading Room traces its beginnings in 1992 as a seller of fashion and home accessories, most of which were made by backyard enterprises. As Trading Room collaborated with these small-scale businesses in design, product development, and manufacturing processes, the company saw the huge potential in growing with emerging industries fueled by the retail boom in the 1990s.
From a limited number of items, the product portfolio grew to include corporate merchandise. The client base also expanded from local customers to export clients.
In 2012, Trading Room ventured into seaweed
after realising that doing so could provide jobs to Filipinos living in coastal communities. The decision was motivated by the company’s mission to encourage community engagement and similar endeavours.
Today, Trading Room continues to innovate by using science and technology, creativity and design to develop and market unique products to the Philippines and to the rest of the world.
